Before the rental

A valid driver's license from your home country is required. International driving permits are accepted but not mandatory for most visitors.
The minimum age for driving in the Faroe Islands is 18 years old, meaning you're legally allowed to hold a driver's license and drive on public roads from that age.

However, individual car rental companies may set their own higher age requirements, so while you can drive at 18, you might need to be older to actually rent a vehicle.

During the rental

Yes, contact us as soon as possible to extend your rental. Extensions are subject to vehicle availability.
Ensure everyone's safety first, then contact emergency services if needed (112). Report the accident to us immediately and document the scene with photos.
Call our 24/7 roadside assistance number provided in your rental documents. We'll arrange help as quickly as possible.
Unless you've prepaid for fuel, please return the car with the same fuel level as when you picked it up.
